Body Aesthetic, Liposuction

Liposuction at Hosfinder Clinic: Sculpting Your Body with Precision

How is liposuction performed?

Liposuction is a surgical procedure aimed at removing excess fat from the body. It is typically performed under local anesthesia or sedation to ensure patient comfort and pain control. Initially, a special fluid is injected into the targeted areas to liquefy and expand the fat tissue, making it easier to remove. Then, using a thin cannula, the fat cells are suctioned out of the body. Liposuction can be used to contour the body, reduce unwanted fat deposits, or improve aesthetic appearance. The recovery process after the procedure is crucial, and following the doctor's recommendations is essential for optimal healing.

Who can undergo liposuction?

Liposuction, like any surgical procedure, requires an evaluation by a specialist beforehand. This procedure is not intended as a weight-loss method; its purpose is to reduce localized fat and contour the body for a smoother, more toned appearance. If there is a general weight issue, it is more appropriate to first lose weight through diet and exercise, and then consider liposuction to address the remaining localized fat.

Liposuction can be performed on anyone without systemic health problems, who is not pregnant or recently postpartum. However, individuals with health conditions such as heart disease or diabetes must undergo necessary tests before the procedure, and risks should be assessed to take precautions against potential complications.

Age is not a barrier for liposuction, but due to the loss of skin elasticity in older patients, the procedure may not be suitable for some individuals.

What is the recovery period like after liposuction?

The recovery process after liposuction involves wearing specially designed compression garments. These garments should be worn for about 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the amount of fat removed and the individual’s specific condition. Swelling and bruising are common and will gradually subside over time. Stitches are typically removed one week after the procedure, and if the patient's overall condition is stable, they can return to work and daily activities within one to three weeks. Normal exercise can be resumed approximately 3-4 weeks after the procedure.

What is laser liposuction?

Laser Liposuction, also known as laser lipolysis, is a procedure that utilizes diode laser technology to directly break down the membranes of fat cells. Similar to traditional fat removal methods, this technique helps eliminate localized fat deposits. It is particularly effective in addressing skin laxity in areas such as the chin and face, while also being used to reduce excessive sweating when applied to the underarms.

What are the differences between laser lipolysis and liposuction?

The main difference between laser lipolysis and liposuction is how the fat is removed from the body. In the liposuction procedure, fat is suctioned out through cannulas, whereas in laser lipolysis, the broken-down fat cells are eliminated naturally through the urinary system. However, if the amount of fat is too large to be expelled this way, traditional liposuction is preferred instead.
